Foraging with my dad
My dad taught me many skills. As a child he would wake me up at 5.30 in the morning and we would drink a coffee, pack the ferret and the nets and head off in to the countryside. We would catch rabbits and fill our pockets with potatoes and carrots from the fields. On our way home, laughing, with our bounty. We would stop at the local pub and sit with poachers and discuss the mornings antics. I miss my dad. #rabbit #food #cheshire #pub #dad

Chef on a narrow boat
Life on a my old narrow boat was full of surprises. Every day was an adventure. I miss my narrow boat and the people I met along the canal. I always had a pan of something warm cooking on the stove and bottle of wine in the fridge. The simple pleasures of life and food were shared with friends and total strangers who enjoyed my cooking and inspired on a daily basis. The simple life. #canal #cooking #chef #life #cheshire
